As chance would have it…

…authors Patty McGuigan & Marian Lye were lucky enough to meet a talented young artist, Rebekah Reif, who would go on to illustrate Leonardo and the Time Travelers.

Fresh out of art school, Rebekah took the characters that Patty & Marian had written, and brought them to life in drawings filled with energy, character and charisma. With her pen, paper and iPad, she gave Nardi his mischievous brow; Jack his confident grin; Nick his thoughtful eyes; and Poppy her defiant attitude.

Rebekah uses a combination of good old-fashioned sketching by hand, and modern digital illustration techniques.
